Verizon is making an overhaul of its prepaid service offerings that are aimed at having consumers save money over time.
The carrier has announced three service tiers that will decrease in price by $5 after three months of service and by another $5 after 9 months of continuous service. Customers can also save $5 monthly when they sign up for Verizon’s AutoPay service. The pricing details below takes this into account.
New Verizon prepaid pricing tiers
- The unlimited data plan starts at $65, dropping to $55 after three months, and $50 after 9 months.
- The 15G data plan starts at $50, dropping to $40 after three months, and $35 after 9 months.
- The 5G data plan starts at $40, dropping to $30 after three months, and $25 after 9 months.
All three prepaid tiers include unlimited talk and text in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as unlimited text to over 200 additional locations internationally.
Customers have the option of bringing their own phone to the service or to purchase a new phone through Verizon.
