A new set of specifications have surfaced online for the OnePlus 13R, suggesting the devices may have more impressive hardware than originally thought.
The latest leak from the Chinese social media platform Weibo, reveals the smartphone could feature a more powerful battery than was mentioned in prior reports, with the new battery specs being 6,500mAh coupled with 80W wired charging. There are also updates to the potential camera configuration, with the new specs including a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel lens, and 2-megapixel lens.
Additionally, the Weibo source detailed the OnePlus 13R would include an aluminum frame, an optical in-display fingerprint, and an alert slider on the side of the device.
These are updates from a 91mobiles report earlier this month, which suggested the OnePlus 13R would feature a 6,000mAh battery with the 80W wired charging being among the only consistent specifications. The report also suggested the device could include a triple camera with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main lens, a 50-megapixel f/2.0 lens, and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 lens, with at least one of the secondary lenses being ultrawide. As well as a 16-megapixel f/2.4 front lens.
Additionally, 91mobiles claimed the OnePlus 13R would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which would give it a more premium chip despite being slated as a more mid-range device. The OnePlus 13 flagship is set to have the same chip. The report also entails a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE supplied LTPO display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and Android 15 with an OxygenOS overlay for the device.
With the new specification updates there is no telling what features will actually be confirmed when the device becomes official. Android Headlines noted the OnePlus 13R is set to be an international model of the OnePlus Ace 5, which will be a device exclusive to China. That device will be announced alongside the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, another China exclusive.
Many of these devices have already been spotted in several certification listings, indicating that they are close to release.
