The Honor 9X could be official as early as next week, according to a recently leaked teaser video. The budget smartphone has already been confirmed in teasers shared by Honor vice president George Zhao; however, the new details reveal the smartphone will likely be unveiled July 23.

Zhao previously shared images of the Honor 9X product packaging, which gives a good hint that the device will be made official soon. Feature details for the device remain sparse at this point, but some rumored specs include the Huawei Kirin 810 chips with a GPU Turbo 3.0 mechanism to improve gaming performance, a 4,000 mAh battery. Zhao’s teaser images also hint at gaming and battery life highlights.

However, the teaser video shows some questionable specs, such as a last-generation Kirin 710 chip, which could call the video’s validity into question. Still, there were already murmurers of a July 23 launch for the Honor 9X.

The Honor 9X launch event will take place in China, with the device’s availability is expected for that market, as well as for Europe and India. There is also an Honor 9X Pro model expected to launch with a larger display, a triple camera set up and a pop-up selfie camera.
