The Honor 8X is close to being released in the U.S. Huawei’s auxiliary brand showcased the device in New York City on Wednesday. The Honor 8X released internationally earlier in September but has likely seen delays in its U.S. release due to issues with the government. The brand continues to sell is smartphones unlocked on its website, HiHonor.com.

Honor highlighted the display, camera, and design on the Honor 8X during the preview event. U.S. pricing details have not yet been revealed, but the affordable premium device sells for 220 euros overseas, which converts to about $257.

Honor also detailed the network efficiency features on the Honor 8X, including it’s “elevator mode,” which helps the device quickly regain its cellular connection after common interruptions, such as being on an elevator.
