“Tasty App For Android: BuzzFeed Recipe Collection Expands To New Mobile Platform”

If you’re a purveyor of the internet there is a good chance you’ve seen some of the interesting recipe videos from BuzzFeed’s Tasty verticle on Twitter or FaceBook. If you’re an Android user, you may have not known there is a Tasty app, which houses all of those interesting recipes in one place.

The Tasty app launched on iOS in 2017 and has over 9 million downloads, but now Android users will have access to over 3000 recipes on the app. Users can watch Tasty recipe videos before they release on social media and get worded, step-by-step instructions. They can search and save recipes and export the ingredient list via email or to a number of social media and messaging platforms.

Head over to the Google Play Store to install the free Android. Registering is easy, connecting to a Facebook account. The app asks users if they prefer to see only vegetarian recipes or if they would like meat recipes included from the Tasty recipe catalog. This can be changed later in settings, as can the measurement systems to include both U.S. and metric.

Users can also set filters for vegan, gluten-free, low carb, healthy, and comfort food recipes, among others. The app also gives recommendations and highlights special recipe details, such as difficulty, speed, and cuisine. The app is optimized so the device’s screen will remain on as users follow a recipe.
