Buzz surrounding the OnePlus 6T is building by the day. The disruptive Chinese company has been extremely vocal about its plans for future devices, recently speaking to CNET about what can be expected for its upcoming launch.

OnePlus’ devices have been a hit among the unlocked crowd in the U.S., but the OnePlus 6T will make its carrier debut on T-Mobile when it becomes available. However, the device will be missing several features that are common on many flagship level smartphones.

Here are some of the features users won’t see on the OnePlus 6T.

A capacitive fingerprint sensor

Just a few years ago, the capacitive home button was phased out of many high-end smartphones in favor of the on-screen home button. Now, manufacturers are experimenting with in-display fingerprint scanners. Many Chinese companies, such as Vivo, Xiaomi, and Huawei have already released internationally, smartphones that feature a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath their displays. The OnePlus 6T is next in line to include this feature. Since many mainstream smartphone companies, such as Apple and Samsung have not yet introduced the feature in the U.S., the OnePlus 6T is essentially the first to bring this feature to American consumers. Coupled with it’s T-Mobile partnership, this would mean a considerable about of U.S. buyers will have access to the latest biometrics technology.

Headphone jack

OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau told CNET that the OnePlus 6T will release without a 3.5 mm headphone jack to make room internally for the components that power its in-display fingerprint scanner. Smartphone makers have struggled with keeping device thin while rapidly adhering to technology demands.

OnePlus introduced its Bullets Wireless headphones in May, alongside the OnePlus 6, which first stirred up speculation that future devices would release without a headphone jack. The Bullets Wireless are available in the U.S. and sell for $69, OnePlus is sure to have some sort of deal to sell the smartphone and the headphones together. Future plug in headphones will likely change from 3.5 mm to USB-C or the company may offer 3.5 mm to USB-C converter ports.

Wireless charging

OnePlus has also opted away from wireless charging for the OnePlus 6T to keep the device and slim as possible. The in-display fingerprint scanner has already made the device 0.45mm thicker than the OnePlus 6. OnePlus’ dash-charge feature is also popular among its users. The company claims it allows OnePlus 6 models to go from zero to 60% charge in just 35 minutes. The OnePlus 6T is sure to see further improvement on charging times.

Official water resistance

Many people criticize OnePlus for not having an official IP water resistance rating on their devices, but the company has continued to release its smartphones without the certification. The OnePlus 6T will be no different. According to Lau, OnePlus devices are sealed enough to survive small water accidents without having an IP water resistance rating. Having devices certified would ultimately increase their price more than the standard bump for each OnePlus generation. The OnePlus 6T is already expected to be at least $21 more expensive than the OnePlus 6. Lau told CNET IP certification could possibly add another $30.
