The OnePlus 6T will be announced on October 29 in New York City. OnePlus has confirmed the date change for its launch event. The manufacturer has bumped the event up by one day after Apple revealed it will host a launch event on October 30.

The Chinese manufacturer, which has developed a global cult following, admitted the date change was to due to wanting to avoid a conflict with Apple’s launch event. The time and location of the OnePlus 6T launch event remain the same, 11 a.m. at Pier 36 in New York City; however, instead of being held on Tuesday, October, 30, the event will take place on Monday, October 29.

OnePlus intends the new device’s launch event to be an experience for fans. The manufacturer has sold and raffled OnePlus 6T launch event tickets to the general public. OnePlus has stated it will work with ticket-holders who have confirmed flight and lodging accommodations to get their plans updated so they can attend the event. The company is also offering full refunds of the event ticket price to those who can no longer attend.

Apple is expected to showcase new iPad Pro and Mac computer models at its launch event, which takes place at 10 a.m. in Brooklyn. Apple has already announced its 2018 flagship smartphones. The iPhone XS and XS Max are already on the market, while the iPhone XR is now available for pre-order and will release October 26.

The OnePlus 6T will hit the market on November 6, selling for about $550. The device will likely be sold through the U.S. carrier as well as unlocked. Recent reports suggest the unlocked OnePlus 6T may also have bands, allowing it to work on the Verizon network.
