Cord-cutting services are also getting into the Black Friday spirit. Hulu recently announced a limited-time deal for Black Friday offering a year of service for only 99 cents per month.

The deal is valid through 11:59 p.m. on November 26 and is available for new subscribers and for those who have not been subscribed to Hulu for at least 12 months. Users cannot combine the deal with other Hulu offers or free trials.

To subscribe just go to Hulu’s home page where the offer is advertised. Select the standard Hulu option, register, and enjoy a full year of Hulu, including original shows, current seasons of popular shows, new and classic movies, and kids shows. After the year is up the service is $7.99 per month.

While Hulu may be hoping you’ll forget about the change to the subscription fee in a year’s time and continue using the service, it is easy to pause to cancel a Hulu subscription after the offer period has expired. Simply log in to your Hulu account, access your profile name then Account, select Hold or cancel the subscription, provide a reason for canceling and confirm the action.

Often, if you keep the account even with your Hulu subscription canceled, the service will still have your email on file and may send you personalized offers to get you to subscribe again. These may include several months of free service or several months of low-cost subscription fees, such as this one.

However, if you wish to delete your Hulu account completely, access your Account page, select Update, then Delete my Hulu account, enter your password and confirm.
