Chinese manufacturer, Oppo shared details about its upcoming smartphone at a Saturday press conference ahead of MWC 2019. The company confirmed that the yet-to-be-named device will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip and the Snapdragon X50 modem, enabling 5G connectivity. The smartphone will also have an interesting triple-lens camera configuration, which includes lenses offering up to 10x “lossless zoom.”

Oppo confirmed that the device’s camera set up will include a 48-megapixel high-resolution main camera, a 120 degree ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens, which will allow the system to cover focal lengths between 16mm-160mm.

However, the device won’t be ready for market until the second quarter of 2019, which is between April and June. Oppo is working with Swisscom, Telstra and Optus in Australia, and Singtel in Singapore for the device’s initial 5G launch, while the smartphone is expected to release with China Mobile later in the summer. The device will not be released in the U.S.
Design wise, the 5G is expected to resemble the 2018 Oppo Find X.
