“Huawei P30 release date approaches with camera-focused rumors and leaks”

Several leaks and details have surfaced pertaining to the Huawei P30 smartphones in recent days. The Chinese manufacturer has already confirmed a launch event for March 26 in Paris, but there is still lots to know about the 2019 flagship line.

Recently, tech informant Roland Quandt shared high-definition renders of the Huawei P30 Pro, detailing a 10x zoom camera with a 3D time of flight (ToF) sensor among its highlight features. The device may have either a triple-camera or quad-camera set up with aperture between f/1.6 and f/3.4 and focal length of 16-125 millimeters.

The renders also showcase a water drop cut out display to house the front camera and psychedelic blue-green and blue-purple color schemes. While the Kirin 980 processor is expected for the devices as Huawei’s latest flagship chip, not much else is known about the P30 line hardware wise. High RAM and storage capacities are likely, as well as the latest Android 9 Pie operating system.

A recent leak from the Chinese 3C certification agency suggests that the Huawei P30 Pro may feature 40W wired fast charging and the P30 22.5W fast charging support, but there is still no word on battery capacities for the devices. Some guesses suggest a power source up to 4,000mAh.

Huawei also secretly showcased a smartphone during MWC 2019 last week, which may or may not be the P30. While the manufacturer reportedly shared no hardware details about the device, images show its design, triple-camera system, and other details including its top-facing SIM tray, USB-C port, and that it has no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Finally, details about the Huawei P30 Lite have also surfaced, with TENAA renders and some preliminary specs. The device may feature 15.29 x 72.7 x 7.4mm dimensions, a 6.15-inch, 1,080 x 2,312 resolution display, a Huawei Kirin 710 chip, a triple-camera set up with 20-megapixel, 16-megapixel, and 2-megapixels lenses, and a 3,240mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
