“Samsung Galaxy S10 display gets major accolades for color accuracy”

It is customary for Samsung’s latest flagships to receive high ratings for display quality upon being announced. The Samsung Galaxy S10 continues this tradition by being given the “highest ever A+ grade” by DisplayMate.

The display benchmark organization revealed its results of testing the Galaxy S10 screen on Monday. It revealed that the device has not only received 100% ratings across all its metrics, but has broken several records for quality in several parameters. DisplayMate highlights the color accuracy, image contrast accuracy, brightness, and luminance, with many described as “indistinguishable from perfect.” The review also noted improvements in the device’s high dynamic range mobile HDR10+, viewing angle performance, blue light spectrum, and display power efficiency.

DisplayMate tested the standard Galaxy S10 model, which features a 6.1-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Display. Samsung introduced its Infinity-O screens, which feature cut outs for the front-facing camera; however, the rating does not make mention of this aspect. Reviews for the Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10e also remain to be seen.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and its alternate models are all currently available for preorder, with reports indicating that handsets are already shipping for those who purchased early. All models will officially release March 8.

The Galaxy S10 starting price is $899.99, while the Galaxy S10 Plus begins at $999.99, and the Galaxy S10e at $749.99. Samsung currently has a number of preorder deals available, including up to $550 off when trading in an older device, and an electronic gift certificate valued at $130.
