“BlackBerry Key2 Red Edition US price and availability announced”

TCL’s spec and design update for the BlackBerry Key2 is now available in the U.S., through Amazon and Best Buy, selling for $699. The device was showcased during WMC 2019 in February and has finally made is stateside with a rather high price tag for a device that was announced nearly a year ago.

The BlackBerry Key2 Red Edition features a deep red Series 7 Aluminum frame, a vibrant upgrade from the original silver and all-black Key2 models. The device also gets a hardware upgrade with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and will sell with a pair of red BlackBerry-branded earbuds.

TCL has continued the BlackBerry brand tradition of outfitting devices with a QWERTY keyboard, with the added support of the Android operating system. The Key2 features several Android services, including Google Assistant, Google Lens, and Google Pay, in addition to the long-trusted BlackBerry Limited security and privacy suite, and other productivity services including BlackBerry Hub, Hub+ and BlackBerry Calendar.
