OnePlus has now confirmed the launch dates for the upcoming OnePlus 7T series, detailing that the main launch event will take place September 26 in India at 7 PM IST, while there will also be an event in North America on the same day at 10:30 AM EDT. Additionally, there will be a launch event in London on October 10 at 4 PM BST.
The India and London events are expected to include all of the fanfare from prior OnePlus launches, with the September 26 event taking place at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi, while the October 10 event will take place at the Magazine London Theater.
Tickets are set to go on sale September 20. Attendees can expect swag bags that will include a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 headphones, a OnePlus sketchbook, and a Never Settle sticker set, in addition to refreshments in the demo area after the respective keynote. OnePlus is also hosting a contest for fans to register to win a free trip to the launches in India or London.
Currently, there aren’t many details on the North America event, such as exactly where it will take place. However, there are some hints circulating that the U.S. may see only the standard OnePlus 7T model unveiled and released. Many have noted that the U.S. event page for the upcoming launch only references the OnePlus 7T, while the pages for the India and London advertises the OnePlus 7T series launch. There also insider details backing up the claim.
There have been several spec details circulating for the OnePlus 7T models. The brand has already confirmed that the OnePlus 7T Pro will feature a 90Hz display; however, many other features are still in the leaks and rumors category.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to feature a 6.65-inch HDR10+ certified Fluid AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal storage options, as well as a 4085mAh battery with 30T “WARP Charge” Fast Charging and the latest Android 10 with the Oxygen OS overlay.
The device is expected to include a triple-lens setup for its main camera, with a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.6 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 3x zoom, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. Its front camera will likely be a 16-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture.
In addition to an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, the OnePlus 7T Pro is expected to special features such as a new Macro mode, Nightscape mode, and Super Slow-Motion recording at 960 frames-per-second.
The standard OnePlus 7T is expected to have many of the same hardware features as the Pro model. However, it will likely run a 3,800mAh battery with 30T “WARP Charge,” and include a camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.6 aperture, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2x zoom, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view.
