The Redmi Note 8 Pro is now official, having been recently announced in Madrid, Spain.
The budget smartphone includes an intricate quad-camera set up, which includes a 64-megapixel main lens as its primary feature. The lens combines pixels at 1.6μm for improved night photography. The rest of this camera set up includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Additionally, it features a 20-megapixel front camera.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and it is certified splash-proof with an IP52 rating. The device also has a rear fingerprint sensor and is available in Mineral Grey, Pearl White, and Forest Green color options.
Hardware specs include a 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G90T chip, 6GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB internal storage options, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W Type-C fast charging. The device also features multifunctional NFC, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device will be available in Spain starting September 26 at mi.com/es and AliExpress, with its 6GB RAM and 64GB selling for €249 and its 6GB RAM 128GB internal storage model selling for €269.
