“Motorola Razr Foldable Smartphone gets November 13 launch date”

Motorola is set to announce its long-rumored foldable device on November 13, according to a recent report from CNET. The Lenovo brand sent out save the date invites for an “evening event in downtown Los Angeles,” for what will likely be the launch event for a Motorola RAZRĀ foldable smartphone.

According to CNET, the invite reads, “You’re going to flip,” hinting that rumors that this 2019 RAZR device will emulate the design of Motorola RAZR flip phones from the early-2000s are true. The device is said to be inspired by the 2004 Motorola RAZR V3. Patent sketches and design renders have surfaced throughout 2019, showing what we can expect from the device in terms of looks. Instead of having a small screen and a separate keyboard, the device will have a display that extends the entirety of his chassis. The device will also have a smaller cover display.

Rumors suggest the RAZR foldable feature a 6.2-inch screen that folds vertically, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and a 2,730mAh battery. The device may be available in black, white, and gold color options and may sell for $1,500 once available. The device is expected to sell in the U.S. and Europe initially.

There are reports that Motorola had originally planned to unveil its RAZR foldable much earlier in the year, but stated in early October, its commitment to announcing the device before the end of 2019. There is no word on whether the device will actually hit the market before the end of the year; however, a November launch does leave a little bit of room for the device to be available during the holiday season.
