“Samsung Galaxy S11 design and specs internally confirmed ahead of 2020 release date”

Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S11 is now confirmed internally in terms of internal spec configuration and design, according to industry informant, IceUniverse.

This likely means that more detailed leaks and rumors are right around the corner, though the device won’t be official for several months. Samsung typically launches it’s early year flagships in the late-February to mid-March time frame.

Some early digging from XDAdevelopers’ Max Weinbach suggests the Galaxy S11 may be available in models featuring either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip or the Samsung Exynos 9830 chip. The smsrtpsmartphone may also include LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.0 storage and 5G support, according to the details from current code. Prior reports have unveiled Samsung’s One UI 2.0, which is has already made it on to devices in beta form.

There are also murmurs of 5G support for thé Galaxy S11 but there is no word on whether the connectivity will come standard or if Samsung will release separate 4G and 5G models of the device. So far are have seen the manufacturer release separate 5G models of both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10, which are both notably more expensive than the 4G models.

Weinbach has also discovered the UX for the Galaxy S11 is called “Picasso,” which could be a hint at facial recognition upgrades. However, much about the device specific software remains a mystery.

In addition to the recently surfaced details, earlier rumors have suggested the Galaxy S11 may be yet another camera focused smartphone, introducing 5x zoom. The device may also include a spectrometer that may enable a number of new health-tracking features.

The Galaxy S11 may also include a display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a larger in-display fingerprint sensor.
