“Google Pixel 4a now official with $350 price tag”

The Pixel 4a is now official with no special online launch event but rather with Google putting up its social media ads and reviewers sharing their first look videos.

The device is now available for preorder and will go on sale August 20 for just $350 through the Google Store and retailers including Best Buy and Amazon.

Google’s inconspicuous launch fits the simplicity of the device, which many note is set to be formidable among the many mid-range options available and releasing these days. The Pixel 4a is available in on size, one color option (Just Black), and one set of specs. These include a 5.81-inch OLED display with a side hole punch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chip, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, a 12.2-megapixel main camera, and 8-megapixel front camera, a 3,140 mAh battery and Android 10.

Other interesting featuring include its plastic build to keep its price low, its rear-facing capacitive fingerprint scanner, its 18W USB-C charger, and its 3.5mm headphone jack, which Google has stated will now be a staple of its budget devices.

Google has also noted it will release Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 models later this year.
