A live leak of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has surfaced not long before the device is set to launch. Samsung is hosting yet another Unpacked event on September 23 to showcase the new device, which is expected to be a price-friendly 5G model for the brand.
Several prospective prices have also leaked for the smartphone. If accurate, the Galaxy S20 FE could sell for €699 in Slovakia and for €729 in Greece. Earlier reports suggested that the device might sell for 900,000 won in South Korea. There is word that the device could sell for around $750 in the U.S. Rumors suggest that Verizon is among the carriers that will offer the device stateside.
Many specs details are also circulating for the Galaxy S20 FE, giving a fairly good idea of what can be expected. The device will likely feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 128GB and 512GB internal storage options, a 4,500mAh battery with 15W fast charge support, dual SIM support, IP68 water resistance, and Android 10 software with a One UI 2.5 overlay.
Its triple rear camera set up is expected to include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX555 main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, as well as a 32-megapixel front camera.
Other notable features include IP68 certification, a 3.5mm audio jack, Gorilla Glass 3 display protection, and a Samsung Exynos 990 chip for the 4G LTE model. Color options include Prism Blue, Prism White, Prism Violet, Prism Green, Prism Orange, and Prism Red.
