“New US-bound OnePlus Nord models push price points even cheaper”

OnePlus is quickly expanding its Nord line with two new devices, which will soon be available in the U.K. and are also set to sell in North America.

The OnePlus Nord N105G and the OnePlus Nord N100 quickly follow the original OnePlus Nord, which launched in August as the brand’s experiment with the 5G mid-range tier. Originally known as Flagship Killers, OnePlus devices were introduced to give fans a taste of premium specs at affordable prices. Since then, OnePlus has also dipped its toe into the world of beefier specs and higher price points with models such as the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The new Nord line now aims to fill the void left from OnePlus’ foray into being more competitive with the high-priced brands. The OnePlus Nord sells for £379/€399 or 24,999 INR in its respective home markets of Europe and India.

While fans have been fascinated by the OnePlus Nord, many were also disappointed by the lack of U.S. availability for the device. The original Nord does not include the key mobile bands that would allow the Nord to work optimally on U.S. carriers. In addition to word that the brand was concerned that U.S. customers would not be receptive to mid-range devices, Europe and India may have just been initial test markets to gauge customer interest.

OnePlus has not yet shared North American prices and launch details for the OnePlus Nord N105G and the OnePlus Nord N100, but customers can rest assured the wallet-friendly smartphones are on their way.

Check out details on the two new OnePlus Nord models below.

OnePlus Nord N105G

The OnePlus Nord N105G is now the brand’s second 5G midrange device, with an impressive £329 (~$428) price tag. It undercuts the original Nord by £50, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chip to enable 5G. Its other hardware is formidable for the price and includes a 6.49-inch HD+ display with a 90hz refresh rate and dual stereo speakers, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with MicroSD expansion up to 512GB, a 4,300mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T. For software, the device runs OxygenOS 10.5.

Its quad-camera system includes a 64-megapixel main lens, a 119-degree ultra-wide lens, and dedicated macro and monochrome lenses, in addition to a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The OnePlus Nord N105G will sell in a Midnight Ice color option.

OnePlus Nord N100

The OnePlus Nord N100 delves even more to the budget price range, selling for £179 (~$233) in a Midnight Frost color option. While it does not support 5G, it includes a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge.

Other hardware includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chip, a 6.52-inch display with dual stereo speakers, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage with MicroSD expansion.

The OnePlus Nord N100 also features a 13-megapixel main camera and OxygenOS 10.5 software.
