“Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition Production Expected for July”

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition may very well be on track for a summer launch.

Analyst Ross Young recently shared on Twitter that the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition will likely go into production in July. If accurate, this could fall in line with prior rumors that suggest the device may be unveiled at a Galaxy Unpacked launch event on August 19.

Ross also shared details about the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition color options, which he says includes Gray, Light Green, Light Violet, and White.

There have already been many details circulating about the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition. Recently, GalaxyClub spotted an official Samsung website for Mexico, which listed the Galaxy S21 FE among its known devices, such as the Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 2, the Galaxy A72, and the Galaxy A52. Such “errors” are common as a device nears it’s launch. Notably, the mistake was quickly removed from the site.

Specs and features expected for the Galaxy S21 FE include a 6.4-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chip, 6GB of RAM, 128GB and 256GB storage options, and a 4,500mAh battery, likely with fast-charging support.

It camera system is expected to be a triple-lens setup, similar to the Galaxy S21, with a 12-megapixel lens, 64-megapixel lens, and 12-megapixel lens, in addition to a 32-megapixel lens selfie camera.

Its measurements are expected to be 155.7 x 71.45 x 7.9mm, slightly smaller than the Galaxy S20 FE. Its overall design is set to be similar to the Galaxy S21, with a center holepunch for the selfie camera and a rectangular camera module in the back, as well as narrow bezels and and in-display fingerprint sensor.

The device will also include a USB-C port and a bottom firing speaker grille, in addition to a right facing volume rocker and power button.

Software-wise, the Galaxy S21 FE will likely run Android 11 with a One UI 3.1 overlay. Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy S21 FE will support 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS.

Rumors suggest the Galaxy S21 FE could sell for approximately $699 in the US when it releases, similar to the price of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. A specific Galaxy S21 FE release date has not yet been hinted at, but murmurs have suggested the device may hit retailers sometime in during the fourth quarter.
