“Google Service Bundle Leaked as ‘Pixel Pass’ Ahead of Pixel 6 Launch”

Google may have plans to offer a bundled service called Pixel Pass, which would encompass a number of its offerings as an overall subscription, according to a recent leak.

Information about the service was divulged by leakster Michael Brown via Purposely Pixel, detailing that the package would include Google One, Play Pass, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, and Google Fi, in addition to an extended warranty that will likely serve the same purpose as Google’s Preferred Care or Device Protection programs.

Pixel Pass subscribers would also be eligible for regular Pixel phone upgrades as new models release, according to the leaked internal document.

Purposely Pixel noted that the Pixel Pass has not been connected to any particular Google device. However, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch date is now confirmed for October 19, and the Pixel 5a is less than two months old, having released in late August, which would make them shoo-ins for compatibility.

While listed on its online Google Store, the 2020 Pixel 4a appears to be out of stock. Google confirmed the inevitable sales discontinuation of the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a not long after announcing the Pixel 5a. However, perhaps these devices could be grandfathered into Pixel Pass under Preferred Care or Device Protection programs.

Other media speculate that Pixel Pass could be a subscription service available only in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, due to Google mainly offering its other similar services to North American markets. So far, it remains to be seen and the service has not been confirmed by Google.
