Las Vegas – TCL is introducing its new family of affordable 5G smartphones with the TCL 30 Series, which include the TCL 30 V5G and TCL 30 EX 5G.
The brand is committing to expanding its carrier availability, having partnered with T-Mobile’s low-cost subsidiary, Metro by T-Mobile for the first time. Promising more premium additions to the 30 Series, later in the year, the first introductions intend to give a sneak peek of what’s in store, including multiple camera setups, large batteries, fast charging, and advanced 5G protocols. TCL has yet to announce pricing for the device as they will be specific to the region.

TCL 30 V5G
The TCL 30 V5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chip with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 1TB, and a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging and reverse charging. It also includes a rear fingerprint sensor, USB-C, Bluebooth, Nano SIM, Android 11 software.
Camera features on the TCL 30 V5G include a 50-megapixel main lens, 5-megapixel superwide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens, plus a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Audio features on the device include dual speakers and dual microphones with noise cancellation and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The TCL 30 V5G will be available in a Midnight Gray matte finish and will be exclusive to Verizon, allowing it to take advantage of the carrier’s mmwave 5G connectivity.
TCL 30 EX 5G
The TCL EX 5G features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz to 180Hz refresh rate and DragonTrail protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 512GB, 4500mAh battery, and 18w charging. It also includes a fingerprint sensor and Face unlock, USB-C, Bluetooth, Nano SIM, Android 11 software.
Camera features on the TCL 30 EX 5G 13-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, plus an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Audio features on the device include dual microphones with noise cancellation and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The TCL 30 EX 5G will be available in a matte Shadow Black finish and will sell through T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile.
