The OnePlus 10 Pro is now official, having been announced in China on Tuesday. The smartphone is currently available for preorder and will go on sale on January 13.
While other markets, such as the U.S. indicate that the device will be coming “this spring,” there are no further details on availability outside of China. Some outlets suggest launches as early as February or March. Reports also indicate that consumers should also expect a bump from the equivalent $737 starting price.
The OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ curved Fluid AMOLED display with an adadptive refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. Its hole punch is in the upper left corner and its outer covering is Gorilla Glass Victus.
The new smartphone is latest running the 2022 flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Other hardware includes 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage options, a 5000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. The wired charging protocol allows users to power the device from 0 to 100 percent in 32 minutes, while the wireless charging allows the OnePlus 10 Pro to go from 0 to 100 percent in 47 minutes.
The triple camera set up on the OnePlus 10 Pro includes a 48-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel unit telephoto lens with 3.3x optical zoom. Its front camera is a 32-megapixel lens. OnePlus has once again collaborated with the camera company, Hasselblad to introduce Natural Color Optimisation 2.0, which is meant to produce even more true to life colors. The smartphone camera also supports a Pro Mode 2.0 RAW shooting mode, which captures images at 12-bit RAW Plus.
The OnePlus 10 Pro runs Android 12 for software with a ColorOS 12.1 overlay. However, reports indicate that international models are still expected to run OnePlus’ OxygenOS 12 custom skin.
Other features on the smartphone include an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB-C 3.1, and stereo speakers.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is available in seafoam Forest Green and matte Volcanic Black color options.
