The RedMagic 7 Pro will launch globally toward the end of the month, following the international Chinese launch of the device, which took place in February.
Nubia is marketing its gaming smartphone as the first to feature an under-display camera. It also includes such gaming favorable features as its ICE 9.0 multi-dimensional cooling system, which includes a built-in turbofan, a 5,000 mAh dual-cell battery with 65W fast charging, and its RGB lighting design on the back panel.
The RedMagic 7 Pro comes in an Obsidian color option, which has a breathing light RGB design, and a Supernova color option, which has a transparent back that allows the built-in turbofan to show through. While both models feature 16GB of RAM, the Obsidian version comes with 256GB of internal storage and the Supernova version with 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED edge-to-edge display with a 120Hz refresh rate to house its under-display camera. The camera itself is a 16-megapixel front-facing lens, which is powered by a dedicated Red Core 1 gaming chip. The chip also takes over some secondary processes from the device’s main SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen, such as certain audio functions, RGB lighting, and haptic feedback. This allows the main chip to focus on standard processes, such as mobile games and other front-facing applications.
The rear triple camera set up on the RedMagic 7 Pro includes a 64-megapixel wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Other feature highlights include dual speakers with DTS surround and 500Hz touchpad dual shoulder triggers.
The RedMagic 7 Pro will be available on the RedMagic website, starting April 27 with an early bird offer starting April 22.
The Obsidian model will sell for $799 (€799, £679), and the Supernova model for $899 (€899, £759).
In addition to North America, the RedMagic 7 Pro will be available in the U.K., Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Latin America.
