OnePlus has announced it will be hosting a launch event for the unveiling of the OnePlus 10T smartphone in New York City on August 3 at 10 a.m. EDT. The event is the first in-person launch for the brand since the beginning of the pandemic ushered in live-stream era of launch events that has gone on for the last two years.
OnePlus sent out invites to its Red Cable Club mailing list detailing that the launch will be hosted at Gotham Hall in New York City and that it was offering the fan club early access tickets for $25 starting July 20. The ticket, valid for two people gives access to the launch event as well as an exclusive swag, including a OnePlus Nord Buds Black, OnePlus tote bag, OnePlus cap and brooch. The tickets will then be available to the public starting July 21 at the same price.
However, joining the Red Cable Club is simple. Those using older OnePlus devices, such as the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 9 series or OnePlus 8 series can link their smartphones through settings. Other users can download the OnePlus Store app can link their devices in that manner.
The launch event, which is tag named “Evolve Beyond Speed” is centered around the OnePlus 10T and its flagship status. The smartphone is set to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which has yielded impressive results on various benchmarks. OnePlus is also expected to unveil its latest OxygenOS 13 custom firmware at the event.
Other specs rumored for the OnePlus 10T include a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and built-in fingerprint sensor and SuperVOOC charging. However, the device might not include an alert slider for sound, vibrate, and silent controls.
