The OnePlus 10T will be announced on August 3 and among its features is expected to be SuperVOOC charging. However, the exact charging capacity might vary depending on the market.
The brand detailed in a deep dive on its fan forums that it plans to release a 150W SuperVOOC Endurance Edition charger as an accessory for the OnePlus 10T. Though this charger can take a 4,800mAh battery from 1 to 100% in just 19 minutes, its 220-volt rating makes it compatible with international electrical outlets, such as those in Europe and India.
It won’t be compatible with North American electrical outlets, which are rated either 110 or 120 volts. However, OnePlus said, this market will be able to use the 125W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition charger, which provides full, 1 to 100% battery power in 20 minutes. Additionally, the charger can add a day’s power with 10 minutes of charging.
The Wednesday event in New York City is OnePlus’ first in-person launch since the beginning of the pandemic ushered in the live-stream era of launch events, which has gone on for the last two years. Though it will still be live streamed online starting at 10 a.m. EDT.
The launch event, which is tag named “Evolve Beyond Speed” appears to be centered around performance and flagship status. The smartphone is set to run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which has yielded impressive results on various benchmarks. OnePlus is also expected to unveil its latest OxygenOS 13 custom firmware at the event.
