Lenovo is announcing on Monday, three new IdeaPad Chromebook options to serve different levels of the market. The two 14-inch options are more design and durability-focused focused and one 16-inch model aims to showcase the power of Lenovo’s Chromebook line. All of the devices remain relatively affordable.
As more hardware becomes AI inundated, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus is available with tools to power its productivity and creativity options. It also includes several premium services. However, Lenovo has also introduced gaming to its Chromebook series for the first time. The 16-inch display of this Chromebook also features a 120Hz refresh rate and RGB backlighting and can rival that of a traditional gaming rig. Its 1080p webcam is now AI-powered for image and sound quality to improve communication during multi-player gaming sessions.
Standard specs on the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus include 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U or 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U processor options, up to Intel Iris Xe and Intel UHD graphics options, RAM starting at 8GB LPDDR4x, and storage options between 128GB eMMC, 256GB or 512GB SSD. It supports up to 12 hours of battery life, ChromeOS as its operating system, and Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 for connectivity.
Ports on the Chromebook include one MicroSD card slot, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and an audio jack. It also includes a 4 x 2W speaker with Waves audio supports. Its back panel comes in a stone blue color option.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus is now available for the Europe, Middle East, and African markets starting at €599. The Chromebook will not be available in North America.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook Plus is a flexible 2-in-1 convertible laptop that adjusts to different stances for users’ preferences.
The 14-inch 16:10 FHD touchscreen Chromebook has an artistic focus and comes with programs including Adobe Photoshop and the AI-highlighted Adobe Firefly pre-installed. Users must have their own long-term subscription; however, as with all of the devices, it comes with a 3-month free subscription to Photoshop Web and Adobe Express Premium. It also includes a 1080p FHD webcam with a privacy shutter.
Standard specs on the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook Plus include Intel Core i5-1334U or Intel Core i3-1315U processor options, up to Intel Iris Xe and Intel UHD graphics options, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC storage or 256GB or 512GB SSD storage options. It supports a battery life of up to 10 hours, ChromeOS as its operating system Wi-Fi 6, 6E, and Bluetooth 5.0 with Wi-Fi card connectivity.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Chromebook Plus is a lightweight option at just 3.31lbs. This 14-inch Chromebook also had a durability and productivity focus, as it is military-grade certified and includes features such as File Sync that connects to Google Drive offline. This feature is similarly found on the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook Plus, among others. With 12.8 by 8.5 by 0.8 dimensions, its size and weight are intended to make the Chromebook a versatile device for many different locales. It also includes a 1080p FHD webcam with a privacy shutter.
