The Motorola one 5G UW, Verizon’s network exclusive model, is now available, as of Thursday, selling for $549.99 full retail, or for $22.91 a month for 24 months through the carrier’s device payment plan.
The device enables support for Verizon’s mmWave (5G Ultra Wideband) network, allowing for download speeds 25x faster than 4G LTE. It also quickly follows Verizon’s announcement of its 5G nationwide coverage, which tackles support for indoor coverage, while mmWave largely handles outdoor connectivity.
Verizon’s model has released a month after the standard Motorola one 5G, which is available on AT&T for $444.99. The standard model supports sub-6 5G but is otherwise the same in terms of hardware specifications.
The Motorola one 5G UW features a 6.7-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 21:9 aspect ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chip, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery, Android 10 software, and an Oxford Blue color option.
Its rear quad camera setup includes a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Meanwhile, its front camera is a dual-set up with a 16-megapixel main lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens.
Deal wise, Verizon is offering up to $550 towards the purchase of a Motorola one 5G UW with a qualifying trade-in, when newly subscribing or upgrading as an existing customer to a Do More, Play More or Get More Unlimited plan.
To keep customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, Verizon is also offering home delivery or curbside pickup options, which can be accessed through the My Verizon app.
