OnePlus has confirmed its next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13 will be announced globally on January 7, 2025 at 10:30 am ET. The brand shared on its websites and social media channels that its winter launch event will introduce the OnePlus 13, as well as the OnePlus 13R mid-range smartphone and the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 headphones. 

After announcing the OnePlus 13 for the Chinese market on December 4, the upcoming launch will prioritize North American and other key markets around the globe. While not all specifications for the international OnePlus 13 are official, it isn’t expected to differ much from the model already available in China. OnePlus has detailed that the coming device will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, in addition to color schemes including Black Eclipse, a white shade called Arctic Dawn, and a blue shade called Midnight Ocean. With the Midnight Blue option, OnePlus will introduce a microfiber vegan leather backing that is set to improve scratch-resistance on the handset. All models are set to be rated IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance rating.

The brand also teased that the OnePlus 13 will include a 2k resolution display with a variable refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz and 4,500 units of maximum brightness.

OnePlus 13 early bird deal

OnePlus has also made available on its website an early bird offer where you can save up to $350 by participating and get a free gift in the process. By putting down a $50 ($60 CAD) down payment, you will be eligible for the early bird offer of $50 off, and can select a free smartwatch gift valued at $299. Once the OnePlus 13 is announced on January 7, the brand will reveal the device’s price and any other deals, and trade-in details. You must pay the remaining balance of the OnePlus 13 by January 13 to receive the device.

OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Buds Pro 3

After much speculation about the mid-range smartphone, OnePlus has confirmed many pertinent details about the OnePlus 13R ahead of its global launch. It will feature a 6,000mAh battery, a triple lens rear camera, and Gorilla Glass 7i panels on the front and back of the handset with a flat design, measuring 8mm in thickness. The OnePlus 13R will be available in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail color schemes.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 is also already available in China, with OnePlus having shared details about the professional grade earbuds, which offer up to 50dB noise cancellation. The brand will introduce the earbuds in a new Sapphire Blue color scheme at the winter launch.
