Samsung is stepping its game up for consumers in India with two new devices aimed at bringing higher specs and sleeker designs to the emerging market. The Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are official as of Monday, featuring Samsung’s Infinity-V display with a teardrop notch, dual-lens cameras, and competitive prices.
Samsung Galaxy M20 specs, features, and design
The Galaxy M20 is the more powerful device featuring a Samsung Exynos 7904 chip and a 5,000mAh battery. The device features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 resolution) display and houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture in its teardrop notch. It supports Face Unlock, to offset its lack of a home button, but also has a rear fingerprint scanner, as a secondary authentication option. The main camera on the back includes a 13-megapixel f/1.9 aperture main lens and a 5-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens.
Design wise, the smartphone favors the Galaxy S5, sans the bandaid pattern. It maintains a 3.5mm headphone jack, runs Android 8.1 Oreo, and is available in black and blue color options.
The Galaxy M20 will be available in a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model, selling for 10,990 rupees ($155), and a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model selling for 12,990 rupees ($183). The device also supports dual-SIM card or microSD expansion.
Samsung Galaxy M10 specs, features, and design
The Galaxy M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ (1520×720 resolution) display, a Samsung Exynos 7870 chip, and a 3,400 mAh battery. Its teardrop notch display features a 5-megapixel front camera and Face Unlock, it does not include a rear fingerprint scanner like the M20.
Still, the Galaxy M10 has a similar rear camera configuration, with a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual-lens set up. Its design, color, headphone jack, and Android 8.1 Oreo OS are also in step with the M20.
The Galaxy M10 will be available in a 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model, selling for 7,990 rupees ($112), and a 2GB RAM and 32GB storage model selling for 8,990 rupees ($126). The device also supports dual-SIM card or microSD expansion.
