“Which Samsung Galaxy S10 model is right for you? Specs and features rundown”

The Galaxy S10 lineup is official as of Wednesday and Samsung has three models, the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e, which will release March 8. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be available at a later date, likely sometime in April. However, Samsung did confirm that Verizon will be the first carrier to offer the next-generation connectivity device.

Samsung has unveiled a bevy of new features and upgrades on this series. The devices usher in an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which is optimized for wet and bright conditions, as well as to identify fake 2D and 3D fingerprints. Another interesting new feature is wireless power share, which allows Galaxy S10 models to wirelessly charge wearables, accessories, and other smartphones via their back panels.

Other common features includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, USB-C, and Android 9 Pie with a One UI overlay. Across the three main devices consumers can expect wired and wireless fast charging, while the Galaxy S10 5G has slightly different charging standards.

The Galaxy S10 has a 6.1-inch QHD+ display, 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 512GB internal storage options, and MicroSD expansion up to 512GB.

It introduces a triple-lens set up for its rear camera with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an ultra wide-angle lens 16-megapixel lens. The device also includes a 10-megapixel front-camera.

The Galaxy S10  receives a power boost to 3,400 mAh.

The Galaxy S10 Plus is a hardware heavy device that includes the most technological advancements among the three main devices. The device’s price starts at $$99.99.

The Galaxy S10 Plus has a 6.4-inch QHD+ display, 8GB and 12GB RAM options, 128GB, 512GB and 1TB internal storage options, and MicroSD expansion up to 512GB.

It features the same triple-lens set up as the Galaxy S10, with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an ultra wide-angle lens 16-megapixel lens. However, it also includes a dual-lens front-camera set up with a 10-megapixel standard lens and a 8-megapixel depth lens.

The Galaxy S10 Plus battery is upgraded to 4,100 mAh.

The Galaxy S10e is Samsung’s budget model. The device’s price starts at $749.99.

Though its specs are slightly truncated from the other two models, it still has a powerful hardware configurations and may be good for those not interested in the other massive screen models. The Galaxy S10e has a 5.8-inch FHD+ display, 6GB and 8GB RAM options, 128GB and 256GB internal storage options, and MicroSD expansion up to 512GB.

It features a dual-front camera set up with a 12-megapixel standard lens and an 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. The device also includes a 10-megapixel front-camera.

The Galaxy S10e has a bit more of a conservative battery at 3,100 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

The Galaxy S10 5G is an eclectic mix of Samsung’s flagship upgrades and never before seen features. The device is expected to have a price tag above $1000.

The Galaxy S10 5G has a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage with no microSD expansion.

It features a quad-lens camera set up with a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, and a 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) lens for depth sensing and AR functions. The device also includes dual-lens front-camera set up a 10-megapixel standard lens and a 3D ToF lens.

The Galaxy S10 5G has the highest battery capacity of the series at 4,500mAh.
