The HTC Viveport VR app store is currently offering deals to coincide with the announcement and release of various VR headsets, including the Oculus Rift S and the Valve Index. Viveport is offering two months free of its Viveport Infinity subscription service to new and existing members.
Members will be able to take advantage of this deal for the entire month of June, however, they must own either an Oculus Rift S, Oculus Rift and Valve Index headset to redeem the offer. The Oculus Rift S goes on sale May 21 for $399, while the Value Index releases in June for $999. Both headsets are currently available for preorder.
With Viveport Infinity, subscribers will have unlimited access to over 500 VR games and apps and other perks, such as price discounts, monthly coupons, weekend deals, free title giveaways, and premium content from Viveport Video.
For example, current Viveport Infinity subscribers are eligible to get a copy of Rockstar Games’ L.A. Noire: The VR Case ($30) for free from May 2 to May 5. Other popular titles on Viveport Infinity include Tilt Brush, Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, Apex Construct, Witching Tower VR, and I Expect You to Die.
Viveport Infinity typically sells for $12.99 per month or $99 per year. Keep in mind that if you plan to cancel the service after two months you won’t be able to keep the titles you’ve downloaded. Their availability is contingent on a continued subscription.
Outside of this deal, current Oculus Rift owners can register for a Viveport sweepstakes offering up to $1,000 in Viveport credits.
