Even in a time when streaming services and completely wireless audio are quickly taking over older methods, many note the unreliability of modern sound systems. This is why the Como Audio product lineup includes a vinyl turntable and a speaker option that features a slot-load CD player, giving users the ability to play high-fidelity audio without having to subscribe to Tidal (though it is an option if you’d like).
The Como Audio team recently showcased its latest lineup of current and upcoming products, including its turntable and its first voice-activated smart speaker system, with the aim to bring several stereo options, catering to all generations of music fans.
One of Como Audio’s latest product is its turntable, which can connect to any of its speaker systems via Bluetooth, phono preamp, or line output, blending the vintage audio aesthetic with the latest modern connectivity.
Como Audio intends to push the envelope even further, with its SpeakEasy system as the first voice-activated smart speaker systems to support two-channel stereo audio. The system supports Google Assistant integration and Bluetooth 4.2.
Hoping to fill a gap between the need for convenience and a lingering desire for quality, Tom DeVesto, Founder of Como Audio told reporters, the main purpose of his products is not to bring yet another smart speaker to market, but to provide a medium for playing music in its original high fidelity, stereo state.
SpeakEasy is currently being crowdfunded on Indigogo and is just hundreds of dollars away from its $5,000 goal. Backers can get the speakers for $249 and the system paired with the turntable for $499. Once officially on sale, the entire speaker-turnable system will sell for $798. However, the turntable is currently available in limited stock for $399 and can pair with any of Como Audio’s other speaker options.
Como Audio’s Solo speaker is one of its primary options, which can be paired with the Ambiente speaker for a stereo experience. By itself, it stands as a standard system with access to over 30,000 stations of internet radio, Spotify Connect, European DAB/DAB+ stations, and FM radio where it is available.
The system also includes a variety of connectivity options, such as Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC support for mobile paring, as well as a USB port, two 3.5mm aux ports, optical input for television and stereo headphone and line outputs. Users can also control the system with its remote control or its iOS or Android app, which can monitor Como Audio speakers around a household.
The Duetto speaker brings all of the Solo features and connectivity options to a stereo speaker design. The Musica speaker similarly offers a stereo experience with the addition of a physical slot-load CD player, as well as Tidal, Deezer, Napster, and Amazon Music integration.
The Amico speaker can be paired with the Amica speaker for a stereo experience. Essentially a portable version of the Solo/Ambiente option, the Amico speaker is water-resistant and supports up to 8 hours of battery life in a single charge.
In addition to its Indigogo campaign for SpeakEasy, ComoAudio is also promoting its investment opportunities via WeFunder, with an aim of garnering $1,070,000 from high yield backers.
