The LG V60 ThinQ 5G is now on the market with availability at T-Mobile and AT&T for $799. Overall, the device will be cheaper than most comparative smartphones, such as the base model Samsung Galaxy S20 and the Google Pixel 4.
LG is marketing its new device with its dual-screen accessory, which will sell for $199 on most carriers. This attachment is essentially LG’s iteration of a foldable device as it allows the V60 to expand into a tablet form factor. It’s free-stop hinge also allows the accessory to stand well in all configurations.
Specs-wise, the LG V60 ThinQ 5G is pretty solid and hits most points for a premium device. However, LG did outfit the device with a Full HD+ display in order to keep its price slightly lower, while still enabling 5G. The smartphone features a 6.8-inch P-OLED display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, a tear-drop notch, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The attachment display is identical in terms of size, but also includes a 2.1-inch cover display for notifications.
Other features on the LG V60 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip with an X55 modem to enable 5G, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 2TB, and a 5,000mAh battery. The device includes a triple-camera setup with a 64-megapixel main lens, a 13-megapixel super-wide-angle lens, and a “Z camera” ToF depth sensor. It also includes a 10-megapixel front camera. The V60 will be available in blue and white color options.
The LG V60 will also be available on U.S. Cellular and Verizon, with the latter carrier set to launch its model on March 26. The Verizon version will support both Sub-6 and Ultra Wide Band mmWave 5G networks, which will bump its price tag to $949.99. All other models of the device will support only Sub-6 5G.
