The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is now official as of Wednesday with a $699 price tag. The device will go on sale on October 2 with preorders starting today.
Pundits have noted the smartphone is like a compact Galaxy Note 20 without the S-Pen. The Galaxy S20 FE stands as an affordable flagship for Samsung, running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip to support 5G. Models running 4G LTE only feature the Samsung Exynos 990 chip.
It also includes many of the brand’s signature features, including a top-quality 6.5-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 6GB and 8GB LPDDR5 RAM options, 12GB and 256G internal storage options with MicroSD expansion up to 1TB, a 4500mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, and Android 10 software.
Samsung particularly showcased the device’s triple rear camera in its live stream only event. The set up includes a 12-megapixel main lens with OIS, a12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel 3x telephoto lens OIS. The front camera is a 32-megapixel lens.
Samsung also highlighted the device’s fun color options, which include Cloud Red. Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.
One of the main distinctions between the FE and the rest of the S20 series is its polycarbonate plastic backing, though it still features a metal frame and IP68 water resistance for a touch of premium build. The Galaxy S20 FE also releases without a 3.5mm headphone jack, just like the other S20 models.
Other features include NFC and MST for Samsung Pay, AKG stereo speakers, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate access.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at T-Mobile
The Galaxy S20 FE will be available for preorder at T-Mobile on September 25 in Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, and Cloud Lavender color options. The device will sell for $29.17 per month for 24 months on the carrier’s Equipment Installment Plan. Customers will get the discount via bill credits.
T-Mobile is also offering a BOGO deal where customers can get a second Galaxy S20 FE for free when adding a new line or switching to the network.
Another deal is $500 off a Galaxy S20 FE when trading in an eligible device. This brings the device’s price down to $249.99.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at AT&T
The Galaxy S20 FE will be available for preorder at AT&T on September 24 in Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, and Cloud Lavender color options.
AT&T is offering a deal where new and existing customers can a Galaxy S20 FE for free (up to $700 off) when subscribing to a 30-month installment plan or adding or upgrading to an unlimited wireless plan.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at US Cellular
The Galaxy S20 FE will be available for preorder at US cellular on September 24 in Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, Cloud Red, and Cloud Lavender color options.
US Cellular is offering a deal where customers switching to the network and subscribing to an Unlimited with Payback Plan cab get a Galaxy S20 5G FE for under $7 per month.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE at Verizon
Verizon will carry its own branded Galaxy S20 FE UW model, powered by its upcoming 5G Ultra Wideband network. The device will be available for preorder on September 24 in Cloud Navy, Cloud Mint, Cloud Lavender, and Cloud Red color options.
While Verizon’s retail price for the device is $749, the carrier is offering a $50 instant discount, which brings its price back down to $699. With Verizon’s Device Payment plan, the Galaxy S20 FE UW well sell for $29.16 per month for 24 months.
The carrier is also offering a BOGO deal where customers can get a second Galaxy S20 FE UW free when adding a new line and subscribing with a payment plan. Customers will get the discount via bill credits.
The network is also offering a $250 Verizon gift card to customers subscribing to select Unlimited plans. Those trading in a device can get a $250 discount when subscribing to select Unlimited plans. Finally, Verizon is offering 25 percent off Galaxy S20 FE 5G UW accessories, including cases, screen protectors, and charging products to those who preorder.
