Las Vegas — The Bev by Black+Decker at home cocktail mixer makes creating your favorite drinks as easy as making a cup of coffee.
Older at home cocktail systems, such as the Barsys robot bartender have proven to be a lot more complicated and a lot more expensive.
However, the Bev works in the spirit of a Keurig, with an area that holds a capsule of cocktail mix. The mixes exclusively are provided by the brand Bartesian and are available in tried and true cocktail styles, such as Cosmopolitan, Mojito, Long Island Iced Tea. There over 40 other mixes including seasonal flavors and low-calorie options. Once a capsule inserted, users can turn the device on and create a cocktail in about 40 seconds.
The Bev has spaces for up to five 750ml bottles of preferred liquor (which are obviously sold separately). Users can select from four options of cocktail strength; from virgin, with no alcohol, and three tiers with alcohol.
The Bev also features a “party mode,” which allows LED lights at the machine’s base to light up, letting users add a bit of fun to their cocktail making.
Cleaning the Bev is simple, as the sixth station is intended for water. Users can fill the included water cartridge with water and set it to flush the system for cleaning.
The Bev by Black+Decker will be available in spring of 2022 selling for $299 through Amazon.com.
