Unlimited Google Photos storage is back, courtesy of a new T-Mobile service tier that is offering the backup option among its many perks for $15 per month starting April 26.
This new tier is a part of the Google One collaboration that Google established with T-Mobile in 2021 as it phased out its own unlimited Google Photos storage promise. Now Google has paid options for its storage, which includes Google Photos. After its own Pixel brand smartphones stopped supporting unlimited Google Photos storage, it really seemed like the service was a thing of the past.
However, the new T-Mobile plan will offer customers 2TB of storage and unlimited Google Photos storage for $15 per month. While the 2TB of storage can be shared with up to five additional users, only the primary account holder can have access to the unlimited Google Photos storage.
This tier also comes with other perks, including advanced Google Photos editing tools, Google One VPN for both Android and iOS, and extended trials to services, including YouTube Premium, Stadia, and others.
The other T-Mobile Google One tiers offer 500GB of storage for $5 per month or 2TB of storage for $10 per month, with similar additional perks, sans unlimited Google Photos.
