The Pixel 6a budget smartphone is now available for preorder as of Thursday, after Google announced the device at its I/O developer’s conference in May. The device will officially go on sale on July 28.
Preorders for the Pixel 6a is now available in a total of fourteen different markets after India was announced on the day preorder sales have begun. Other markets include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the U.K., and the U.S., which are already confirmed on Google’s support website.
Customers can preorder the Pixel 6a through the Google Store website for their local market. Otherwise, the device should be available on various authorized retailer partners, such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Best Buy. The Pixel 6a is also available for preorder through local carriers. In the U.S., those include Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Google Fi, Spectrum Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile.
Those pre-ordering the Pixel 6a in Europe and Asia-Pacific will get a pair of Pixel Buds A earbuds as a gift along with their purchase.
However, Google also announced a new pair of Pixel Buds Pro earbuds, which are also available for preorder as of Thursday and will also go on sale on July 28.
The Pixel 6a features the Google Tensor chipset and Titan M2 security chip seen first on the Pixel 6 series, a 6.1-inch display and a dual-camera setup with main and ultra-wide lenses, and other Pixel 6 series highlight features, such as True Tone, Night sight, and Magic eraser, Live translate and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The device also features 6GB of RAM and 128 GB memory option and Android 12 experience. Design-wise, the Pixel 6a adopts an aluminum and glass frame, and dual-tone colors, also similar to the original Pixel 6 models. It comes in Chalk, Charcoal, and Sage color options.
It is priced at $449 in the U.S., but check out the full price listing per market below.
