Samsung is making its 2025 Odyssey monitor lineup available for preorder as of Tuesday. The options include the Odyssey 3D monitor, the Odyssey OLED G8, and the Odyssey G9.
The monitors all include unique specifications that cater to gamers’ different preferences. The brand is offering a limited-time discount of $50 for those who reserve any of these gaming monitors during the pre-order period between 3/25 and 4/7 at Samsung.com.
Odyssey 3D
The Odyssey 3D monitor (G90XF model) is a fascinating technology that allows you to immerse in 3D gaming without dedicated glasses. The monitor uses advanced eye-tracking technology a proprietary lenticular lens, which provides a realistic high-definition 3D image. You can access imagery through Samsung’s Reality Hub. This allows the images to jump out of the screen toward you and create an immersive 3D experience.

The Odyssey 3D is a 27-inch 4K screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time, with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility to reduce choppiness and screen lag. The monitor supports 3D gaming as well as AI video conversion.
Samsung has partnered with game developers to create 3D-enabled media to pair with the Odyssey 3D monitor as it becomes available. These include Nexon for ‘The First Berserker: Khazan,’ which will be available on March 28, and Neowiz for ‘Lies of P,’ set to release this summer as the brand’s first downloadable content (DLC).
Odyssey OLED G8
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model) introduces some industry-first specifications to the market. The 27-inch OLED monitor has the highest pixel density for its tier, at 166 pixels per inch. It is also the first 27-inch 4K monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate. Notably, the Odyssey OLED G8 is also available in a 32-inch model. Samsung first showcased the monitor at CES 2025, highlighting its industry-first specifications.

Other specifications for the Odyssey OLED G8 include 250 nits brightness, 03ms GtG response time, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, Glare-Free technology certification, and Samsung OLED Safeguard+.
Design-wise, the Odyssey OLED G8 features an ergonomic slim metal base with Core Lighting+ RGB coloring on the back of the monitor, based on the lighting on the screen.
Odyssey G9
The Odyssey G9 (G91F model) is Samsung’s latest ultrawide gaming monitor option, featuring a 49-inch dual QHD display with a 1000R curve. The gaming monitor supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, in addition to AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and HDR10+ GAMING.

The Odyssey G9 excels at multitasking, supporting Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes. These features allow two devices to project onto the device at the same time. In Picture-in-Picture mode, you can vary the size options. The Auto Source Switch+ feature also finds connected devices and automatically projects them when they are enabled.
