TCL has now confirmed that the pricing of the TCL 30 XE 5G will be set at $200 at its exclusive carriers, T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. The smartphone will be available on both networks on February 25, selling for $198 on T-Mobile and $199 on Metro by T-Mobile.
The TCL 30 XE 5G was announced at CES 2022 in early January, alongside the TCL 30 V 5G, which is currently available at Verizon for $299.
TCL is aiming to get its devices on 5G networks at affordable prices. Both T-Mobile and Verizon currently have a vested interest in building out their 5G networks, so having a varied portfolio of smartphones that are compatible with their 5G bands is extremely important.
The TCL 30 XE 5G features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz to 180Hz refresh rate and DragonTrail protection. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 512GB, 4500mAh battery, and 18w charging. It also includes a fingerprint sensor and Face unlock, USB-C, Bluetooth, Nano-SIM, Android 11 software.
Camera features on the TCL 30 XE 5G 13-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, plus an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Audio features on the device include dual microphones with noise cancellation and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The TCL 30 XE 5G will be available in a matte Shadow Black finish.
