With a little more than one week left until Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series is unveiled, it is not surprising that details are now just tumbling out of the rumor mill. GSM Arena got a hold of full spec sheets for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e on Tuesday, which includes camera specs that have largely remained elusive until this point.
Samsung Galaxy S10 camera specs
We’ve known for some time that certain models would house triple lens setups for their rear cameras, but the new details now give specifics. The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will have a 12-megapixel telephoto zoom lens, a 12-megapixel wide dual aperture, dual pixel and OIS lens, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The Galaxy S10e will feature a dual-lens setup with a 12-megapixel wide dual aperture, dual pixel, and OIS lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
For the front cameras, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e will feature a 10-megapixel lens and the Galaxy S10 Plus will feature a dual camera with a 10-megapixel lens and an 8-megapixel lens.
Samsung Galaxy S10 hardware specs
For hardware specs on the Galaxy S10, users can expect a 6.1-inch HDR+ Infinity-O display with a 3040 x 1440 resolution, 550ppi, and Gorilla Glass 6, up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, a 3,400mAh battery, and White, Black, and Green color options.
The Galaxy S10 Plus will feature a 6.3-inch HDR+ Infinity-O display with a 3040 x 1440 resolution, 522ppi, and Gorilla Glass 6, up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, a 4,100mAh battery, and White, Black, and Green color options, in addition to special Ceramic Black and Ceramic White models.
The Galaxy S10e will feature a 5.8-inch HDR+ Infinity-O display with a 2280 x 1080 resolution, 438ppi, and Gorilla Glass 5, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a 3,100mAh battery, and White, Black, Green and Yellow color options.
The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, while the Galaxy S10e will feature a fingerprint sensor on its side.
All three devices will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip or the Exynos 9820 chip, depending on the market, Android 9 Pie with the One UI overlay, water resistance, facial recognition, power share, and fast wireless charging 2.0.
Galaxy S10 details directly from Samsung
Samsung has also teased several features in clips recently shared on the Samsung Vietnam YouTube channel. These include in-display fingerprint scanners, optical image stabilization (OIS) for cameras, and a new reverse wireless charging feature that allows one smartphone to charge another smartphone wirelessly.
Samsung Galaxy S10 release date details
While many of the recently revealed specs remain unconfirmed by Samsung, the manufacturer will unveil its devices February 20 in San Fransisco. Samsung will also host a live stream event and demo of the Galaxy S10 models at is Samsung 837 space in New York City. The event is open to the public.
Samsung has also opened reservations for consumers to register and get deals and early access to the Galaxy S10 devices. Those who reserve a Galaxy S10 model will be able to take advantage of perks including up to $550 in savings when trading on an older device, delivery by March 8, first access to preorders, and a $50 credit on accessories.
