Samsung’s February 20 launch event will unpack a host of new goodies for electronics fans. We are expecting to see the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e announced as well as more details about its foldable phone. Samsung is also expected to unveil several new wearables and accessories to pair with its new smartphones.
A developer recently discovered several new products Samsung’s Wearable app. They include the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit E fitness trackers, the Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds, and the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch. The products are shown among Samsung accessories that are already on the market, indicating that they too will soon be available to consumers.
Many note that the Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds have previously been rumored and leaked, but there have been no leaks on the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit E until now. There are currently no details about the wearables available.
The 40mm Galaxy Watch Active is a smaller version of the original Galaxy Watch, however, the wearable likely doesn’t have the rotating bezel that was a staple feature on its predecessor. The Galaxy buds are an update to Samsung’s Gear IconX earbuds and are expected to support Bluetooth 5.0 support, wireless charging, and 8GB internal storage.
Reports indicate that Samsung may be offering the Galaxy Buds as a freebie for consumers who register to be first for preordering the Galaxy S10 in certain markets, such as Vietnam. Samsung’s Galaxy S10
The Galaxy S10 preorder sales are expected to open on February 21. Consumers in the U.S. who reserve and preorder should expect their devices to arrive by March 8.
