“Nokia 9 PureView price discount available for March 3 release”

The Nokia 9 PureView, HMD Global’s latest camera-focused smartphone, goes on sale March 3, selling for $599 after a $100 discount. The smartphone will be available in the U.S. through Amazon, B&H Photo, Best Buy with GSM carrier compatibility for the AT&T and T-Mobile networks. The discount will be valid through March 10, after which the Nokia 9 PureView goes back to its original price of $699.

The Nokia 9 PureView garnered a lot of attention at MWC 2019 last week when it launched as the first smartphone with a 5-lens rear camera set up. Aiming to rival DSLR-quality photography, the system includes five 12-megapixel sensors, each with f/1.8 aperture that can shoot at the same time. Three of the lenses shoot in color, while two are monochrome. The system stitches images from all five lenses together for maximum quality, which some early reviewers note can be a timely process. The penta-lens set up also allows for more ease with common camera tricks including Bokeh and depth, and for more editing options.

Hardware wise, the Nokia 9 PureView features a 5.99-inch Quad HD+ OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 3,320mAh battery with fast charging and a USB-C port. Its front camera is a 20-megapixel lens. Other interesting features include its in-display fingerprint sensor and IP67 dust and water resistant. The device runs the Android One version of Android 9 Pie and will be available in a Midnight Blue color.

The Nokia 9 PureView will be available to European markets including the U.K. the Netherlands, and France with perks including one free screen replacement and a pair of Nokia True Wireless Earbuds.
