Acer has unveiled a plethora of notebooks at the IFA conference in Berlin, from its Swift and Aspire series as well as new Chromebooks. Availability for many models begins between September and December, with commendable price tags. Check out the rundown of Acer’s new products below.
Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3
Acer has updated its Swift series notebooks with new processors and graphics chips and has worked on making the products lighter for easier portability.
The 14-inch touchscreen Acer Swift 5 is outfitted with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 chip and an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics chip, as well as 512 GB PCIe Gen 3×4 SSD storage, USB3.1 Type-C, Thunderbolt 3, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. It supports up to 12.5 hours of battery life and fast charge that adds up to 4.5 hours of power in a 30-minute charge. Using Windows Hello security features, users can unlock their notebook with its built-in fingerprint reader.
US availability begins in November starting at $899.99, while Europe gets the notebook in September starting at 899 euros. China will sell the new Swift 5 for RMB 7,499.

It weighs 1.19 kg (2.62 lbs) and supports up to 12.5 hours of battery life and fast charge that adds up to 4 hours of power in a 30-minute charge.
US availability begins in November starting at $699.99, while Europe gets the notebook in September starting at 599 euros. China will sell the new Swift 5 for RMB 4,999.
Acer Aspire C
The Acer Aspire C series bring more lightweight options with larger displays and more powerful specs. Display options include 27-inch, 24-inch, and 22-inch models with 10th Gen Intel Core processors and the NVIDIA MX130 as a graphics chip option. Hardware options include an M.2 NVMe SSD up to 1TB and a 2.5-inch HDD up to 2TB and 32GB of DDR4-2666 RAM.
Ports include HDMI-ou and four USB 3.1 for accessories. The Acer Aspire C models also have a privacy focus with a closure for the camera shutter when the webcam is not being used. Displays are protected with Acer Vision Care technologies, which safeguard against blue light and flickering.
US availability begins in Spring 2020 starting at $699 for the 24-inch, while Europe gets the notebook in December starting at 599 euros for the 22-inch. China will sell the new Swift 5 for RMB 3,399 for the 22-inch.
Acer Chromebooks
Acer has announced four Chromebook models, two large display and two compact, but all hitting affordable price points. They all include Gigabit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 3.1 ports, Type-C ports, as well as a MicroSD card reader and an HD webcam.
The Acer Chromebook 315 features a 15.6-inch display and can run either the Intel Celeron N4000, Intel Celeron N4100 processors, or Intel Pentium Silver N5000 processor. It supports 128 GB eMMC storage and up to 8 GB dual-channel SDRAM and up to 12.5 hours of battery life.
North America availability begins in December, starting at 279.99, while European availability begins in October, starting at 329 euros.
The Acer Chromebook 314 features a 14-inch display and can run either the Intel Celeron N4000 or the Intel Celeron N4100 processors. It supports 64 GB of eMMC storage and 8 GB dual-channel SDRAM and up to 12.5 hours of battery life.
