“Xiaomi Mi 10 series official with top DxOMark ratings for Pro model”

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones are now official, having been announced Thursday for the Chinese market.

The brand opted for an online launch after having postponed its global launch, which was set to take place on February 23 in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress 2020. The international mobile conference has since been canceled due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19); however, Xiaomi is expected to reschedule its launch for a later date, where it will share details about international availability its new devices.

Despite the unfortunate cancellation of both MWC 2020 and Xiaomi’s originally intended launch event, the manufacturer has confirmed many long-rumored details about the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. In particular, the devices’ impressive specifications, include a 108-megapixel main camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED displays with 90Hz refresh rates and the latest LPDDR5 RAM.

Hardware for the devices includes 8GB and 12GB RAM options and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB internal storage options, as well as a 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging for the Mi 10 and the 4,780mAh battery with 50W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging or the Mi 10 Pro.

There are; however, some other intricate differences between the Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro, which include brightness of 1,120 nits for the standard model and 1,200 nits for the Pro model.

The Mi 10 camera set up includes a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide sensor, f/2.4 macro lens, and an f/2.4 depth sensor. The Mi 10 Pro set up includes a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 20-megapixel 117-degree ultra-wide sensor, a 12-megapixel portrait sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. Both models feature a 20-megapixel front camera. The Pro model has received a top rating and review from DxOMark.

Other features on both devices include USB-C, Dual-SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and Android 10 with an MIUI 11 overlay.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 will be available starting February 14 in Titanium Silver Black, Ice Blue, and Peach Gold color options.

  • The 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage option will sell for 3,999 yuan ($575).
  • The 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage option will sell for 4,299 yuan ($620).
  • The 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage option will sell for 4,699 yuan ($675).

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will be available starting February 18 in Star Blue and Pearl White color options.

  • The 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage option will sell for 4,999 yuan ($715).
  • The 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage option will sell for 5,499 yuan ($790)
  • The 12GB RAM, 512GB internal storage option will sell for 6,999 yuan ($860)
