Backing up weeks of rumors, Samsung has now confirmed that it will host its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event on January 14, where the Galaxy S21 smartphone series is expected to be unveiled. The event will live stream from Samsung.com, starting at 10 a.m. EST. The brand is sure to have streams available on other platforms including YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
The teaser shared on the Samsung YouTube channel and on the brand’s press page includes an image of a blurred device and the tagline “Welcome to the Everyday Epic.” While the rumor mill has been overrun with details about the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, the pictured device appears to be small and thick, more like a foldable.
There are many prospective foldables expected to release throughout 2021 and Samsung has reiterated its commitment to creating many more products of the unique form factor. However, rumors have suggested the brand’s next foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 isn’t set to launch until May.
We keep in mind that Galaxy Unpacked is a major flagship unveiling, where the brand is sure to have several tricks and surprises up its sleeve. Still, others suggest the blurred image could be something a lot more predictable, such as the camera module for the Galaxy S21.
Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Buds Pro during its upcoming launch.
