Verizon has announced a new content offering, bundling Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass with most of its Unlimited plans for free for the first six months.
Users subscribing to Verizon’s Unlimited Play More or Unlimited Get More plans will have their option of either subscription service for 12 months for free. The services are typically valued at $4.99 per month.
The offering will be available starting May 25 for new and existing customers.
Verizon is adding these services to its Unlimited plans, which already include access to others top streaming services, including Disney+, Discovery+, ESPN+, Hulu, and Apple Music, depending on the tier.
This offering is essentially the longest free trial of both Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass. Apple offers a three month trial of the service when users purchase a new Apple product and a one month trial on its own. Meanwhile, Google only offers a one month free trial when purchasing the service.
Both Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass h.ave their own highlight features. Apple Arcade has many Arcade Originals and exclusives, including “NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition,” “The Oregon Trail,” and “Fantasian.” Google Play Pass boasts over 800 games and apps.
Verizon’s Unlimited Play More plan offers 15GB of 5G data for $80 per month, while its Unlimited Get More plan offers 30GB of 5G data.
