While Samsung’s latest Unpacked launch has come and gone without an official unveiling of the Galaxy S21 FE, there have been several signs that the device is in fact on its way.
The most recent hint has been its stop at the Bluetooth SIG website, according to media reports. Such certifications are good indications that the device is on its way. The leak follows Samsung’s own sneak peek of the Galaxy S21 FE, which the brand shared on its social media channels just days before its Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldables and Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 were unveiled.
Longtime rumors suggested that the Galaxy S21 FE might have been announced in August and later reports suggested the smartphone could have been showcased alongside these recently launched devices. Now, it is clear Samsung has other plans. The brand notably announced the Galaxy S20 FE in late September last year in a solo event dedicated especially to fans of the device series. The recently shared social media post also had a back-to-school theme, which for many locations takes place in September.
There has already been a pretty clear picture shaped of the Galaxy S21 FE through leaks and rumors. The device has already been certified by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission and China’s TENAA.
The device may feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 6GB and 8GB RAM options, 128GB and 256GB internal storage options, a 4,500mAh battery with 45W charging support, and Android 11.
It is also expected to feature a triple rear camera with a 12-megapixel main lens, 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel or 12-megapixel telephoto camera, as well as a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Other notable features may include an in-display fingerprint reader, IP68 rating, and stereo speakers.
Other features for the Galaxy S21 FE may include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wireless Power Transfer, and possibly also wireless charging.
