CES 2020 is quickly approaching and many of the top tech companies will surely have a lot to showcase for the coming year. Chinese manufacturer, OnePlus, in particular, has teased that it will be hosting events between January 7 and 10, the duration of the technology convention.
PCMag’s Sascha Segan recently Tweeted about the event(s), detailing that OnePlus will be set up at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
Not much else is known about what OnePlus has planned for CES; however, the Chinese manufacturer has done a lot, especially in the last year, to stake its claim as a major smartphone, and tech brand, in the U.S. and globally. In addition to releasing several smartphones during 2019, including a number of 5G devices, OnePlus has also delved into the smart home space, having introduced the OnePlus TV in India and other international markets.
Fans have a lot of guesses as to what OnePlus may showcase during CES. Some suggest the brand may unveil the currently rumored OnePlus 8 Lite, which would be a return to the more affordable smartphone price points that made the manufacturer popular. Some suggest the brand could announce U.S. availability for the OnePlus TV. Some suggest the brand may launch a gold version of the OnePlus 7T that wasn’t made available during its initial release.
Other suggestions include wireless earbuds, a new 5G smartphone, a mobile payment system, or a smartwatch. However, with CES 2020 less than one month away it won’t be long before we know what OnePlus has up its sleeve.
