Details of future Google devices continue to tumble out of the rumor mill ahead of the Pixel 4a launch. This time, we’re getting a look at the Pixel 5, which has been leaked by tech informant, Ishan Agarwal.
The press image shared shows two devices in front of a 5G logo, with the G in Google colors. With all of the news swirling around the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5, we can only assume that those are the smartphones in the image. The images don’t show that many details about the devices other than a possible matte finish and similar camera dual modules.
However, recent reports indicate that both devices will likely feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip to enable 5G connectivity. They are also both slated to run the upcoming Android 11 software and include at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There has been word of $499 and $699 respective prices for the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5, in juxtaposition for the $349 pricetags for the LTE only Pixe 4a.
Another recent concept video has also surfaced, showcasing potential features of the Pixel 5, including 90Hz QHD+ OLED display at 1,000nits, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and wide-angle cameras with smart HDR and 4K video recording, a 12.2-megapixel front camera.
While these features are not confirmed, the quickly impending release of the Pixel 4a is sure to see many fans shift fear to the prospective specs of the upcoming Google devices. Many may especially be interested in the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G due to Google’s expected redirection to more budget-friendly devices.
